Yukona Ammons

Services for Yukona Wolfe Ammons of Grass Valley, also known as Deborah Gale Miller Jensen, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 615 Hollow Way in Nevada City.

Mrs. Ammons died Tuesday, Oct. 29, in Nevada City. She was 49.



She was born March 10, 1953, in Panama to Galen Benjamin and Margaret Estolene Miller. She was raised in Concord. She married Don Ammons on Jan. 19, 2001, in Reno. She graduated from MCI Business College and was a certified cosmetologist, Reiki II practitioner, and Bowen and Vibrational therapist. She also did theatrical backdrop design and dance choreography. She enjoyed nature, the healing arts, fine arts, rock gardening, graphic arts and cultural music.

She is survived by her husband, Don Ammons; daughters Julene Fawn Sinclair of Rancho Cordova and Ginger Lorraine Shumway of Provo, Utah; sons Grant Christian Jensen Jr. of Orangevale and Daniel Leland Jensen of Folsom; stepchildren Phizannah Abraham, Audrey Ammons, Tiffanie Ammons, Chealsea Ammons and Shay Ammons; mother, Margaret Miller of Benicia; father, Jim Miller of Gualala; brother, Ben Miller Jr. of Benicia; sister, Cande Mae Nelson of Benicia; mother-in-law, Lois Ammons DeGrio of Grass Valley; grandchildren Jensen Palmer Sinclair and Makenna Rayen Shumway; and step-grandchildren, Corey, Haley, Morgan, Micah, Miles, Cody Jo and Dylan, all of Grass Valley.
