Yuba Highlands appeals rejected

Last night Yuba County Supervisors rejected two appeals by attorneys who say the Yuba Highlands housing project near Spenceville Wildlife Area is inadequate.

As many as 250 people, many from Nevada County, were reported to have attended the five hour meeting in Marysville where supervisors voted 3-2 to reject the appeals.

“They didn’t feel the issues rose to the level to stop the process,” said Russ Brown, Public Information Officer for Yuba County.

A final hearing on the project is expected to go before the Board of Supervisors in June.
