MELTDOWN COMMUNITY EVENT: Imagine if you ate foods good for you! Imagine if you took the time to exercise! Imagine if you took care of yourself and your family! Imagine the benefits, both as an individual and as a community. Learn how to exercise and lose weight safely. FREE two month program (January/February) designed to help participants accomplish their health, exercise and weight loss goals for 2004. Come with a team of five or more, or be a team of one. Teams of neighbors and friends are still being created and individuals will be assigned to teams as needed. Public invited to attend one or more educational sessions with or without teammates. Registration of teams still occurring. Competition, measured by weight loss, will be organized around teams of five. Individuals will be assigned to teams as needed. Families with children ages 12+ welcome. Prizes for winners. Sponsored by Community Wellness Coalition including United Way, Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, Supt. of Schools, Grass Valley, Nevada City, Nevada County, and concerned Health and Fitness Leaders/Educators throughout Nevada County. Meets Tuesdays 7-9 p.m. through Feb. 26. Presentations will be made by top experts in Nevada County on health and fitness with introduction by Carole Carson. Location: Fairgrounds, Main Entrance.
