Write-ins wanted

Grass Valley working people, be a write-in candidate for Grass Valley City Council or. . . .

1. Property rights will be changed for property “responsibility” the state tells you what to do with your property.

2. Dying trees destroying your home’s foundation will be protected ” your house won’t.

3.The well-off will have nice homes on large lots; retirees, workers and children will be lumped together in amoeba-like areas for apartments and condos.

4. No housing for the “boring” middle class because. . .

5. With NAFTA and FTAA sending job overseas and eliminating boarders there would be a middle class to house, and home-based computer businesses won’t prosper, either.

6. Only growth in or adjoining Grass Valley ” no piped water canal to South County.

7. Downtown Grass Valley becoming a series of stoplights, roundabouts and one-way streets hindering customers shopping downtown.

8. No local control (no one lobbies?)

This is what we heard at Wednesday evening’s planning meeting which Grass Valley City Council candidates support.

So, people, if you value your homes and jobs, you’d better activate. We can’t run. Income, property and sales taxes and son’s physical disability limits our money and mobility.
