Workshop addresses plans for mine reopening

Another in a series of workshops addressing potential environmental impacts of the proposed reopening of the Idaho-Maryland Mine is scheduled for Wednesday.

Wednesday’s discussion is set for 6 to 8 p.m. at the L.O.V.E. building in Condon Park. The discussion will focus on reclamation plans and financial concerns.

The following month, a workshop focused on traffic, project alternatives and cumulative impacts is set. That workshop is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m., March 12 at the L.O.V.E. building.

A draft environmental review of the project is expected to be ready in the spring.
