Wordslingers Fest at Foundry Oct. 5

Literature Alive presents the seventh annual Wordslingers Festival at Miners Foundry in Nevada City on Oct. 5.

This year’s theme is “Mysteries and the Mysterious” and features four prize-winning novelists: John Straley from Sitka, Alaska, and Bay Area writers Ayelet Waldman, Cara Black and Alfredo Vea.

The afternoon program includes a panel discussion moderated by novelist Karen Joy Fowler and an audience-participation “Family Mysteries” storytelling session led by local radio producer Joe McHugh.
