Wolf Mountain Day Spa wins national award

Wolf Mountain Day Spa has been awarded Distinguished Day Spa Award for 2008 by the Day Spa Association.

The coveted national honor was given by association Executive Director Hannelore Leavy in early February at the annual Day Spa Expo & Business Forum held in Las Vegas. Miriam Lytle, Wolf Mountain’s owner, attended the three-day conference and was at the awards banquet when the announcement was made.

“We were one of many entries throughout the country vying for this special award,” Lytle remarks. “It was a wonderful, unexpected surprise, and I’m very proud to be recognized by the spa industry for our excellence.”

Some of the judging criteria for the Distinguished Day Spa Award included spa menu, quality of service, commitment to clients, nurturing environment for clients and staff, and commitment to the spa industry and community.

Lytle bought Wolf Mountain Day Spa in June 2006 to provide residents the utmost in skin care service and to be a community outreach advocate.

For the past two years, the spa has spearheaded fundraisers for local breast cancer awareness, made contributions to the Barbara Schmidt Millar Fund for mammograms for low-income residents, and has been a sponsor in the annual Celebration of Life Triathlon.

In 2006, the spa earned its first “Best Of” award by The Union under Lytle’s new ownership. The spa offers the finest in skin and body care including specialty services for men and teenagers.
