William Wittmann

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at Hooper and Weaver Chapel in Nevada City for William J. Wittmann. Mr. Wittmann passed away July 16 at home in Penn Valley. He was 75.

Mr. Wittmann was born March 31, 1932, to William Wittmann Sr. and Viola (Elliot) Wittmann in E. Syracuse, N.Y.

He served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He went on to work as a policeman. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking.



On Dec. 17, 1981, he married Kathleen Wittmann.

Mr. Wittmann is survived by his wife, Kathleen Wittmann of Penn Valley; daughter, Sherrie Mauchau of Reno, Nev.; mother, Viola Wittmann of E. Syracuse, N.Y.; and grandchildren Rocky and Jared Mauchau and Christopher and Justin Linkey.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
