William Spencer Jordan

William “Willie” Spencer Jordan died peacefully in his sleep on May 16 in Grass Valley. He was 45.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, May 23, at the Spirit Empowerment Center, 276 Gates Place in Grass Valley.

Mr. Jordan was born April 21, 1963, in Santa Cruz to Dolores C. Jordan-Cross and Don L. Jordan. He graduated from Empire High School in 1981. He worked in construction. Willie had a great sense of humor and enjoyed gourmet cooking, playing the guitar, working on cars and anything mechanical. He also enjoyed playing the harmonica, sewing, and a good game of poker and cribbage, and appreciated an ice cold beer. He participated in activities at Spirit Empowerment Center.



Mr. Jordan is survived by his longtime love and companion, Anita Carman of Grass Valley; mother, Dolores Jordan of Grass Valley; sister, Rebecca Jordan of Richmond; brothers Thomas Jordan and Joel Jordan, both of Grass Valley; nephews Lucas Jordan and Trevor Wade, both of Grass Valley; many friends in Grass Valley and relatives in the Santa Cruz and Stockton areas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Spirit Empowerment Center, P.O. Box 565, Grass Valley, CA 95945, a Public Benefit Nonprofit Corp. 501 (c) (3).
