William Rist

Services for William “Levi” Rist of Grass Valley were conducted at Tuesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nevada City. Burial was at Indian Springs Cemetery in Penn Valley.

Mr. Rist died Wednesday, Nov. 20, in Grass Valley. He was 21.

He was born on April 4, 1981, at Beale Air Force Base, to Bobby Rist and Denita Patton. He was a lifelong resident of Nevada County and graduated from Nevada Union High School. He worked in construction, and he enjoyed cars, disc golf and sports shooting.

He is survived by his father, Bobby Rist of Grass Valley; mother, Denita Patton of Grass Valley; brothers, Robbie Rist and Austin Parrish, both of Grass Valley; grandmother, JoAnn Baldasarra of Grass Valley; aunts, Cheryl Davis, Mary Rist, Debbie Patton, Deneen Larimore and Christine Arena; uncles, Paul and Clyde Rist, Dennis, Dean and Dale Patton, Michael, Martin and Ron Baldasarra; and numerous cousins.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
