William Janelle

William Janelle, 68, of Nevada City, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.

No services are planned.

Mr. Janelle was born March 1, 1936, in Duluth, Minn., to Marie Eriksson and Harley Janelle. He married Dorothy on June 10, 1981, in Carson City, Nev. He served in the U.S. Air Force for two years, and then served in the U.S. Army for 22 years retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer, W-2. He worked for G.T.E. Government Systems in Mountain View until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Janelle of Nevada City; daughters Suzanne Rousseau of Vancouver, Wash., Andrea Martinez of San Jose and Denise Janelle of Vancouver, Wash.; and sisters Harlene Henson of Clarksville, Ark., and Robin Cook of Longanville, Ga.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
