Wildflowers and views on this trek

Go with a professional photographer to photograph tiger lilies, red rockets, lupin, mules ear and penstemons Sunday.

Penn Valley resident Kris Wakefield knows his cameras, is a hiker himself and loves flowers.

He’ll be guiding a group through the terrain around Donner Pass and along the Mt. Judah Loop Trail.

He has named his outing “The Flower Safari: Photographing Wildflowers and General Photo Taking Hints with Professional Photographer Kris Wakefield.”

It’s an all-day experience, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; that is unless you want to go to dinner with the group as well.

This is sponsored by Nevada County Land Trust trek. It is evaluated as as easy to moderate level and costs $12 for member, $17 for non-members.

Call them at 272-5994 to register and find out where you meet; a recording gives you this information if you call after hours.
