Wildflower watch at Buttermilk Bend Trail

The Buttermilk Bend Trail at Bridgeport is enjoying peak blooms of the mid-season wildflowers. Among those now seen on the slopes about the river are Tufted Poppies, various Lupine, Fiddlenecks, Larkspur, Canyon Nemophila, Twining Snake Lily, Globe Lily, Canyon Dudleya and Chinese Houses.

Free Docent-led walks start every Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. from the north parking lot beyond the historic covered bridge.
