Wildflower walks underway

The spectacular Buttermilk Bend Trail continues to show signs of spring.

Those flowers blooming now include Tufted Poppies, Foothill Lomatium, Miniature Lupine, Sulphur Pea, Fiddlenecks, the Western Redbud and an early appearance of Wooly Sunflowers.

Free docent led walks are given every Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. at the South Yuba River State Park starting from the north parking lot. Call 432 2546 for information.
