What happened to these values?

Our country has suffered through a presidency that has led us in many unnecessary directions. We are convinced that the only remedy is a change in the party that is in power.

The ones that have had the power in much of the last decade have not met the mark of decency that our country was founded on. We have been told that torture is necessary, that habeas corpus is not necessary, that our right to a trial is no longer a right we can depend upon and to not agree with the ruling party should make it questionable as to whether or not one is a terrorist.

And above all else, money is the one thing that has become most important in our country. We have come to believe that a high financial status is the most important asset we can possess.

Whatever happened to thrift, integrity, honesty and decency?
