A week of relatively calm, but wet weather systems has been predicted for Nevada County by the National Weather Service in Sacramento.

A system currently moving across the state is expected to bring a chance for showers to western Nevada County today and Tuesday, with showers likely Tuesday night and Wednesday.

A chance for showers continues Wednesday night and Thursday, followed by likely rain Thursday night through Saturday night, the weather service said. There will be yet another chance for rain on Super Bowl Sunday.

Snow is expected on and off at Donner Pass, through Sunday, but only a few inches per day accompanied by light winds as the storms pass through.

Foothill temperatures are expected in the low 50s to high 40s through Sunday, with night lows in the mid-30s. Donner Pass is expecting high temperatures in the upper 30s through Sunday, with lows in the upper teens to mid-20s.
