Wesley Harris

A private gathering for family and friends for Wesley Andrew Harris of Auburn will be conducted at a later date.

Mr. Harris died Friday, Aug. 16, at home. He was 31.

He was born July 28, 1971, in Thousand Oaks to Roger and Pamela Harris. He and his family moved to Grass Valley in 1981. He attended Pleasant Ridge School and Magnolia Intermediate School. He graduated from Bear River High School in 1990, and received an associate in arts degree in land surveying from Sierra College in 1994.

He worked for Audregg, Inc. of Auburn from 1994 to 1998 and for Psomas of Sacramento since 1998. He married Lela Ruth on June 8, 2002, at the home of his parents. He enjoyed motorcycles, mountain biking, lake activities, being in the outdoors and his family.

Mr. Harris is survived by his parents, Roger and Pamela Harris of Grass Valley; wife, Lela of Auburn; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Jim McKeegan of Cool; grandmother, Marguerite LaTurner of Ventura; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers and paternal grandmother.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels.
