Wayne Fry

Private services for family and friends of Wayne Patrick Fry of Rough and Ready will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Western Gateway Park in Penn Valley.

Mr. Fry died Thursday, July 29, at home. He was 57.

He was born June 17, 1947, in Willows, to George Fredrick Fry and Nora Joyce Pollard. He served in the U.S. Army as an SP4 for two years. He married Sharon on Feb. 14, 1984, in Reno, Nev. He was a self-employed flooring contractor. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, fairs, festivals, bowling, sports and reading.

She is survived by his wife, Sharon Lee Fry of Rough and Ready; daughter, Monica Fry; son, William Fry; stepsons Brian Fellows of Rough and Ready, and Brent Fellows of Granite Bay; stepdaughter, Brenda Simmons of San Diego; mother and stepfather, Nora and LeRoy Richards of Chico; and sister, Jocelyn Miller of Orland. He was preceded in death by his father, George Fredrick Fry; and step-grandchildren Brian Edward Fellows Jr. and Tiffany LeeAnn Fellows.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, or Cancer Aid.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
