Way Out West reunites for benefit

They may have older rigging, but the dynamic trio that was Way Out West from 1985-1992 will dust it off and strap it on all over again Friday when they revive their hot pickin’ favorite songs and their funny business.

String and percussion wizard Joe Craven, singer and strummer Tracy Walton and guitar-tickling wordsmith Bill Edwards will reunite for a concert at 8 p.m. on Nov. 17 that benefits radio station KVMR. Even the illusive Senior Hotz might show up.

Advance tickets are $18 for KVMR members and $20 for the general public. They may be purchased in Nevada City at KVMR’s business office (401 Spring St.), in Grass Valley at BriarPatch and Record Connection, and in Auburn at Cherry Records. At the door, tickets cost $20 for KVMR members and $22 for the general public. Contact 265-9073 for more information or go online at http://www.kvmr.org.
