Fire reported on Dog Bar Road and Venus Court (VIDEO)
At just after 3 p.m. Thursday, Cal Fire and Consolidated firefighters responded to the report of a structure fire with spread to wildland on Venus Court near Dog Bar Road, the fire departments said.
Air resources were reporting approximately 5 acres with one structure, possibly a motor home and outbuilding involved. The fire was reported to have a slow rate of spread into vegetation. By 3:45 p.m., the response had been down-graded.
Cal Fire spokeswoman Mary Eldridge said firefighters arrived to find a motor home fully involved. Hand crews cut a line and retardant was dropped around the perimeter of a residence, Eldridge said, adding that multiple water drops also were underway.
“The fire is not contained, but we have sufficient resources,” Eldridge said at 4 p.m.
