Want to shape up? Try body sculpting

Want to achieve your best physical condition? According to David Williams, personal trainer, “No matter your age, sex, or current condition, anyone can learn body-sculpting/shaping skills with proper training.”

Clients can also use these same skills to meet specific rehabilitation needs, whether they seek to restore function, reduce pain, prevent future injury or improve overall functionality and well-being. The training is also used to enhance athletic performance and avoid injuries.

Program components include cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, abdominal toning, strength training and nutrition guidance. Benefits include increased muscle mass, bone density, and confidence. By strengthening tendons and the cardiovascular system, posture is also improved and energy is boosted.

Women have a special interest in the body-sculpting benefits of strength training because, in addition to altering the overall symmetry of the body, it increases metabolic rates. Fat is more quickly metabolized and lean muscle mass is acquired in ways that even aerobic exercise can’t match.

“I love the challenge of helping clients achieve their goals and see their results,” says David. “Whether the training involves recovery from injury or surgery, or preparation for competition, I find all aspects rewarding. Both the client and I have fun.”
