Wambough off to Japan for mission

Jordan Wambough, age 19, of Penn Valley has left to serve a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

After a 10-week training program,Wambough, the son of Dave and Susan Wambough, will start his mission in Fukuoka, Japan. Wambough has four sisters and three brothers and is an Eagle Scout.

He was home-schooled by his parents, passed the high school test at 16, then attended Sierra College.

He plans to attend college after his mission and become a computer software engineer.
