Walter Ford

Services for Walter Lee Ford of Penn Valley will be conducted at 9 a.m. today at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., in Fremont, followed by graveside services at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 48800 Warm Springs Blvd., in Fremont. Memorial services will be from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the Solid Rock Four Square Church, 11665 Spenceville Road in Penn Valley.

Mr. Ford died Friday, Dec. 27. He was 65.

He was born on July 10, 1937, in Oakdale. He lived in the Bay Area most of his life, moving to Penn Valley 11 years ago.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary of Penn Valley; sons Walter Jr. and Jeffrey, both of Penn Valley; mother, Helen Barker of New Mexico; brother, Bobby Ford of New Mexico; sister, Pat Nation of Missouri; grandchildren Walter Ford III, Joseph Ford, Sarah Ford, Jesse Ford, and Jacob Mickelson, all of Penn Valley, and Teresa McFarland of Colorado, Stanley Williams of Missouri and Jamie Williams
