Wallace “Wally” D. Perry died suddenly June 9 in Auburn after a short battle with cancer. He was 74.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today, at Lassila Funeral Chapel, 551 Grass Valley Highway in Auburn. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 13, at Lassila Funeral Chapel, to be followed by a brief internment at nearby New Auburn Cemetery on Collins Drive, and a reception back at the funeral home’s dining room.

Mr. Perry is survived by his loving and ever-caring wife of five plus years, Barbara Romero-Perry of Alta Sierra; sons Dean and wife Velvet of Grass Valley, and Scott and Craig Perry of San Jose; stepchildren Tamera Romero-Fadlallah and Jayson Romero (Ann) of Auburn, and Bud Romero (Kelly) of Foresthill, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Darlene (Meyer) Perry, and brother, James F. Perry.
