‘Walk for Recovery’ scheduled for June 14

The Recovery Alumni Association will hold its third annual Walk for Recovery June 14, to aid alcohol and substance abuse recovery programs in Nevada County.

By seeking pledges and sponsors for the event, participants hope to help “break the cycle of generational substance abuse,” according to promotional material released by Bob Rogers of Community Recovery Resources.

All proceeds from the event will go to support current clients in the CORR treatment programs, according to Rogers.

The walk will begin 10 a.m. June 14 at Pioneer Park in Nevada City.
