Volunteers needed to support Nevada County seniors

Meals on Wheels volunteers prepare to head out on their routes at Gold Country Community Services. More volunteer drivers are needed to delivery meals to home bound seniors.
Submitted by Cynthia Martin

Gold Country Community Services is looking for volunteers who can serve as Meals on Wheels drivers on Mondays and Fridays, as well as substitute drivers. This would include a 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. commitment one day a week, a car, a sense of direction and a friendly smile. Also in need is a lunch cafe receptionist from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, as well as a substitute. The receptionist greets senior guests, assists with serving meals in the dining room, answers phones and provides program information. For more information, call 530-273-4961 and visit http://www.GoldCountryServices.org.
