Victor LaRosa

Services for Victor C. LaRosa of Grass Valley will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Sierra Presbyterian Church in Nevada City.

Mr. LaRosa died Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. He was 81.

He was born on Sept. 28, 1921, in Boston to Carl and Connie LaRosa. He attended college and earned a bachelor’s degree. He was a retired shoemaker. He married Pat on Aug. 29, 1981, in Ventura. He was a member of Sierra Presbyterian Church. He collected toys and small electronics.

He is survived by his wife, Pat LaRosa of Grass Valley; daughters, Victoria Lovell, Roberta Costo, and Sharon Diaz all of Bakersfield; sons, Tom LaRosa of Cypress, Jeffrey LaRosa of Phoenix, Mark LaRosa of Chino Hills; stepchildren, Mel Sawyer of Boulder City, Nev., Trish Hinzman of Portland, Ore., Debi Dennis of Quincy and Joe LaRosa of El Paso; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Kent in 1991; and stepdaughter, Vicki Small in 1994.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sierra Presbyterian Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
