Verna Clawson

Private services will be held at a later date for Verna Mae Clawson. Mrs. Clawson passed away peacefully at her Nevada City home of 35 years on July 8. She was 92.

Mrs. Clawson was born March 6, 1915, in Vancouver, Canada. She moved to Nevada City in 1972, where she was active member of the community. She volunteered with Empire Mine, Sierra Services for the Blind, Nevada County Historical Society, as well as various other organizations.

Mrs. Clawson is survived by her sons, Randy Clawson Sr., of Tracy, and Duane Clawson, of Enon Valley, Pa.; grandchildren Randy Jr., Debbie, Kimberly and Chad; and great-grandchildren Steven, Michael and Jacy.



Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 2399 Nevada City Highway, Grass Valley, CA 95945.
