Verlie Stallard

Private memorial services for Verlie Beatrice Stallard of Nevada City will be conducted on a later date.

Ms. Stallard died Monday, Jan. 27, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. She was 65.



She was born on Nov. 5, 1937, in Roswell, N.M., to Allen and Pauline (Ralston) Massey. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and camping.

She is survived by her sons, Ed Marrow of Van Nuys and Danny Loss of Aspen, Colo.; and daughter, Paula Grogan-Onescu of Nevada City. She was preceded in death by her son, Mick Joseph Hike in 2000.




Memorial contributions may be sent to the family c/o Paula at Stray Cuts and Company, 215 Sacramento St., Nevada City 95959.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
