Value judgement

It is inspiring to read the preambles to the state’s constitutions. Ours reads: “We, the People of the State of California, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom, in order to secure and perpetuate its blessings, do establish this Constitution” (1879). All 50 states affirmed their gratitude to Almighty God “for the blessings hitherto enjoyed, for the political and religious liberty, relying on His protection and guidance.”

Fast forward to the present day legislature. Examining the proposed and approved laws of the last few years, we see how these Assemblymen and state Senators betrayed the ideals of the founding fathers and the majority of citizens. The current lawmakers expelled God from the public forum and from schools.

Now they are defending and promoting immorality as personal rights and freedoms. Example: A law approved by both houses to re-write the school textbooks, which would remove references to “husband” and “wife” or “mom” and “dad” in order to indoctrinate our children. Thank God, the governor vetoed this bad bill for the good of society. Therefore, vote out the politicians who do not represent your social and moral values!
