Un-augural ball hosted by Peace Center

Join with other bruised and battered refugees from the War on Democracy for an evening of poignant political comedy and catharsis! This will be a costume ball, so come as your favorite political statement or character, if you like.  There also will be several skits during the course of the evening.

The ball will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20 at the Veteran’s Hall, 415 N. Pine St. in Nevada City. Admission will be by donation

Of course it wouldn’t be a ball without dancing. The Village Folk Orkestra will fill the air with lively and dancable Eastern European tunes (dancing instruction will be provided, as many of their songs are meant for specific dances).

Volunteers are needed to help put together a real extravaganza of an evening ” we don’t have $40 million for our UN-augural festivities!

For more information, call the Peace Center at 478-0699.
