Ultimate insult

Thanks to John Kerry, it took almost 25 years for someone to thank me for serving in combat in Vietnam. His disgraceful characterization of the extraordinary men I served with as “war criminals” may have gotten Kerry a place of honor in the war museum in Ho Chi Minh City, but not in the hearts of most Vietnam vets.

When Kerry accepted the nomination at the DNC, I was sickened by all those middle-aged boomers cheering him ” the only Vietnam vet they ever honored. Thanks to John Kerry, these Americans felt that they could insult and humiliate vets with impunity calling us “warmongers” and “baby killers” when we expressed our pride of service.

As much as we would like to see a Vietnam veteran in the White House, electing John Kerry would be the ultimate insult to those who served in Vietnam.
