Two readings this week at Odyssey

Two authors will speak at Odyssey Books, one tonight and the other next Thursday.

Ted Zeff, who wrote “The Highly Sensitive Person Survival Guide,” subtitled “Essential Skills for Living Well in an Overstimulating World,” will appear tonight.

The former Nevada County resident will talk about coping strategies for highly sensitive individuals. Zeff received his psychology doctorate in 1981 from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.

On Oct. 28, Victoria Cowell will talk about her latest book, “The Evolutionary Woman of the 21st Century.” The Nevada County author also wrote “Spirit Animals,” which is about the psychic and spiritual connections between animals and humans.

Refreshments will be served at both 7 p.m. readings/discussions.

Odyssey Books is at 989 Sutton Way in Grass Valley.
