Well, looks like these power outages are back and of course, could not have come at a worse time. One of the most recent outages occurred on our scheduled Comedy Night on Saturday, May 21, cancelling the show for the evening. But, there is good news. The show has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, in the Cedar Room located inside the Oaks Clubhouse. If you already have tickets for the original date of May 21, hang on to your tickets as they will be honored at the June 30 show. If you are unable to attend the show on the rescheduled date, simply return your tickets to the 19th Hole bar during normal business hours for a full refund. Please note that your tickets WILL NOT be valid for the July 16 show.
Speaking of the July 16 show, tickets will be on sale at noon on Friday, June 24, inside the 19th Hole bar. Tickets are just $10 and cash only please.
The show will be headlined by Las Vegas comedian Carlos Rodriguez. Carlos was thrown into comedy; being brought up in a large family of characters, he quickly became a fast-talking entertainer which eventually led him to comedy. Taking the stage, you see his inner child come out with all the passion, excitement, and energy of a new performer but with the grace and comfort of a seasoned pro. Carlos brings a clever, silly, and approachable voice to comedy. In a fun and relatable way, his observational humor touches beyond daily occurrences to deep- rooted memories of his childhood, views on the simplest ideas, and the most off beat subject matter. He has also been featured on USO Tours, The Up Next Comedy Central comic, Hulu’s Quick Laffs, Comedy Time TV, Featured on Doug Benson Loves Movies podcast, Brent Ernst podcast, and Jamie Foxx’s Fox Hole, 2018 North Hollywood Comedy Festival, 2016 and 18 SLO Comedy Festival and voted Best of the Fest, 2017-18 Big Pine Fest, 2016-17 World Series of Comedy, 2015 SF SketchFest, Finalist for ’14 &’15 SF International Comedy Competition, Voted 2013, 14, and 15 best comic in Sacramento by Sac News & Review, Winner of 2012 CSA Comedy Competition, Finalist SF Tommy T’s $20,000 competition. A regular at comedy clubs throughout the states, Carlos has headlined for our military troops overseas and been on stages on four different continents (North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia).
Also on the show will be Sacramento comedian Wendy Lewis. Wendy has opened for Rob Schneider, Bobby Lee, and T.K. Kirkland, and is also a paid regular for Punch Line Comedy Club and Laughs Unlimited.
And your host for the evening will be Dillon Collins, who is a producer and comedian from Chico, CA. He is a young comedian, and despite living in town known for parties and drinking, Dillon does his best to steer clear of that scene, mostly because it is court ordered. His silly attitude and mischievous smirk go hand in hand with his stories of life as a broke millennial. He is a regular host at Laughs Unlimited and The El Rey Theater and was a finalist in the Chico Comedy Competition.
This Monday, we celebrate our nation’s independence from foreign rule and the drive of a group of passionate young men (no women, of course, being the 18th century) to determine their own fate, and that…
