Pearl Harbor Survivor Guests at GV Veteran’s Day Fete
This year’s Veteran’s Day will be dedicated to the Vets of WWII, We should recognize as many of the WW II vets as possible while we have the opportunity.. The event will start at the Vets Hall on South Auburn Street, Grass Valley, at 1000 and end at 1100, by tradition.
The highlights will include the National Anthem sung by the Wildwood Barbershop Quartet, several Andrew’s Sisters songs from the 40’s sung by The “Sisters in Song”, all former residents of Lake Wildwood. The special guest speaker will be LCDR. Lou Conter, an Arizona Survivor. We will have a bag piper, color guard, 21 gun salute, taps, and other patriotic events. Veterans will receive a free Bloody Mary cocktail and Lunch will be served after the celebration. It is suggested that guests arrive before 0930 to facilitate parking. — Capt. ‘Cap’ Wallington, USNR-Ret
