Inviting God’s wrath into our lives

In his syndicated column, Mr. Thomas Elias is correct in that the state’s GOP leaders have made no in-roads into the Democratic loyalties of California’s Latino voters.

Some of my best friends are Latino. What impresses me is their powerful work ethic, respect of family and love of God.

In the last election, however, the majority of Latino voters supported anti-business, anti-economic growth policies leading to job-outsourcing overseas, part-time employment and replacement of jobs with technology. So much for work ethic!

Latinos also supported more government spending, leading to budget deficits and greater debt and government dependency, all mortgaging our children’s future. So much for respect of family!

Finally, most Latino and other American voters have allowed clever mind games to drive their emotional thoughts and actions based upon human nature (critical/judgmental), which results in winners and losers. Heartfelt decisions (compliments/forgiveness) result in no losers. So much for the love of God!

The leaders of both major political parties will naturally avoid challenging the electorate if there is a chance of losing votes. Safer to attack each other.

The real truth: God loves all of His children. His wrath is invited. The recent Philippines’ disaster will pale in comparison.
