Today, the county will examine neighborhood complaints about the McCourtney Road Transfer Station and discuss ways to mitigate concerns.

The Solid and Hazardous Waste Commission will hold a special meeting at 1:30 p.m. in the Empire Room at the Eric Rood Administrative Center, 950 Maidu Ave. in Nevada City.

Recycling Coordinator Tracey Harper, Director of Sanitation Nick Zanivovich and Supervisor Hank Weston will address concerns raised about noise, dust and uncovered dump loads.

“They’re going to address concerns raised at the last meeting,” said Secretary Cindy Hunt.
