Tom Saito

Tom “Musky” Saito, 86, of Grass Valley died Sunday, May 5, at a local hospital.

No local services are planned. Burial will be at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward.

Mr. Saito was born Jan. 8, 1916, in Mount Eden to Mr. And Mrs. K. Saito. He was married to Haruyo “Betty” Saito for 64 years.



He worked at the Fairmont County Hospital in San Leandro. He enjoyed fishing, trips to Reno, breakfast with his buddies and spending time with his friend Rocky.

He is survived by his sister, Fumiko Saito of Washington; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Gary Thomsen of Grass Valley; son and daughter-in-law, George and Jackie Saito of Farmington, Mich.; daughter-in-law, Ann Saito of Hayward; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and son David Saito.




Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
