Tom Ranberg

Tom W. Ranberg, 72, of Grass Valley died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, in Grass Valley.

Mr. Ranberg was born May 15, 1931, in Santa Monica, to Lou and Virginia Ranberg. He graduated from Santa Monica High School and attended Santa Monica Tech School and U.C.L.A. for four years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. He worked for 30 years in Southern California as a computer engineer and an R&D Value Analyst Engineer. He enjoyed building and restoring racing cars. He dreamed of being an Indy Driver, but settled for drag racing. He was an avid motorcycle rider.



He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Ranberg of Grass Valley; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Donald Conner of South Boston, Va.; son, David Ranberg of Huntington Beach; and granddaughters Meghan and Ashlee Conner of South Boston, Va.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
