Toe-tapping show

The Nevada County Concert Band will present “Dance to the Music,” the third in its Pioneer Park Picnic Pops Concerts series. Music references will include Motown hits, music from “Mamma Mia,” The Charleston, big-band signatures, favorites by Ray Charles, some jazz and latin numbers, and many other toe-tapping numbers. Joining the band for a feature number are the lead cast members of the upcoming musical production “Flower Drum Song,” produced by Community Asian Theatre of the Sierra. Organizers say, “bring your dancing feet” to the Pioneer Park bandshell in Nevada City. 5-7 p.m. for this free, all ages concert. Call 272-6228 or go online to http://www.nccb.org.
