Timeline | TheUnion.com

Well now, all those of you identifying the old Diamond (Match) National Lumber Co. on the site of today’s Grass Valley post office at the very busy intersection of East Main and Bennett streets are correct. I don’t remember when our TIMELINE guy counted all the answers right. He also appreciates the positive comments contained in many of your e-mails.

Now to today – This should be easy. What (no longer there) in Nevada City are we gazing upon? Clue: the freeway took out what you see and what was there before came down to make way for the parking space pictured. As usual, I’ll answer all e and mollusk mail arriving at either: bobwyckoff@infostations.com or P.O. Box 216, Nevada City CA 95959. Thank You.
