Our TIMELINE guy was quite pleased with the response (or lack thereof) to his selection of the “Good Lookin’ Teenagers,” featured as his June 26 offering. Helen Brown correctly identified all, including her son, Jim, far left who now resides in Monterey; center is none other than Nevada County Fair’s General Manager Ed Scofield, (sigh) “of course I now see the facial resemblance!” and at right is Elaine Madadox, whereabouts unknown at this writing. Ed chuckled when our TIMELINE guy talked to him on the phone, “Did I really look that young?” Yes, all of you did. Surprise is that Ed’s brother, Rich, of The Union’s mailroom and packaging department didn’t submit a guess. OK, now back to reality. After a number of not too happy or complimentary telephone calls and e-mails regarding the content of TIMELINE, our guy decided to return to those “thrilling days of yesteryear’s” construction. He would be overjoyed if many of youse guys correctly identified the Nevada City location of this “what’s going on here?” As always, all inquiries will be answered: e-mail bobwyckoff@infostations.com, or P.O.
