Thoughts on HS teacher furloughs? Public hearing set for Wednesday

Citizens can voice opinions about the high school district’s proposed five-day furlough plan at Wednesday’s board meeting.

Changes to teacher contracts include fewer paid work days, fewer extra-curricular duties such as chaperoning dances, and a retirement incentive.

The hearing is on the agenda for the regular board meeting, 6 p.m. Wednesday at Bear River High School, 11130 Magnolia Rd., Grass Valley.
