Graveside services for Thomas Lee Hunter of Grass valley will be conducted at noon Thursday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery at the Kuster Family Plot in Grass Valley. A celebration of life potluck will follow at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 165 Hallow Way in Nevada City.

Mr. Hunter died Sunday, Feb. 22, in Grass Valley. He was 62.

He was born Nov. 5, 1941, in Alameda to D.O. and Ruth Hunter. He was a retired contractor, real estate investor, appraiser and owner of Tribune Termite. Known to friends as “Tommy Termite,” he enjoyed cooking, real estate and history.

He is survived by his daughters Holly Hunter of Grass Valley and June Hunter of Pendleton, Ore.; son, Gavin Hilst of Thermalita; fiancee, Michele Branner of Grass Valley; mother, Ruth Hunter of Grass Valley; and brother, Dick Hunter. He was preceded in death by his father, D.O. Hunter.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
