Thomas Evans Jr.

Memorial services for Thomas Roy “Big Tom” Evans Jr. of Washington will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley.

Mr. Evans died Sunday, Feb. 19. He was 61.

He was born on Nov. 17, 1944, in Huntington Long Island, N.Y., to Thomas Roy Evans Sr. and Aurlie Edith Cruickshank Evans. He attended Birmingham High School in Van Nuys. He retired after 50 years as an auto and motorcycle mechanic. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fast bikes and building fast Fords.



He is survived by his mother, Aurlie Evans of Medford, Ore.; daughter, Barbara Baldwin of Paso Robles; son, Thomas Evans III of St. George, Utah; brother, Jerry Evans of Los Angeles; sister, Shirley Evans of Rogue River, Ore.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Sr.; and wife, Katie Evans.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
