Wednesday, 8 p.m.: Cooper’s, 235 Commercial Street, Nevada City, is celebrating spring with a free Reggae dance party coordinated by KVMR disc jockey Christopher Redlocks.

Redlocks has over 20 years of experience in performing, studying, collecting and mixing Reggae music. He will be sharing never-before-heard, 7- and 12-inch singles directly from Jamaica, in the Dance Hall style, which is a cultural meeting place for fans to come for the latest in Reggae. Tuesday: Live Open Mic Night with host Albert Martinez; 8 p.m.- Midnight
