This ‘happening’ the first of many this summer

The Nevada City-based record label Grass Roots Record Co. will present a series of shows known as Happenings this summer at the popular live music venue, Cooper’s. Kicking off the series on Friday, June 1, is an intimate evening with three acts who will perform a range of music, from traditional folk, to pop, to bluegrass. The infamous Moore Brothers, who are known for slaying listeners with their lovely Simon & Garfunkel harmonies, will headline the evening. They will be supported by El Capitan, the San Francisco-based group known for its spooky California mountain music, and the divinely lovely duo Willow Willow.

The fun begins at 9 p.m. at 235 Commercial St. The cover charge is $6; only those 21-plus are admitted. Get more details online at http://www.grassroots recordco.com or call (530) 601-2415.
