Tempest to bring merriment to market

Tempest, the international band of swashbuckling Celtic-rock pirates, has set sail on another national tour that will bring them to Grass Valley to open the Free Summer Concert Series at the Thursday Night Marketplace on July 5, when Captain Lief Sorbye and his crew of musical Buccaneers make merriment in downtown Grass Valley, Tempest will bring a treasure chest of new Celtic and traditional gems from their new album, including “Captain Kid,” “Hangman” and “Wizard’s Walk.” Showtime is 7 p.m.

The hours of the Thursday Night Marketplace & Street Festival are 6-9 p.m. The market is a Certified California Farmers Market, licensed by the county, the state of California and the USDA.
