Telethon looks to ‘Power Up NCTV’ to build new studio

Nevada County Television will host its “Power Up NCTV” telethon today, with the goal to raise $10,000 to fund the building of a new studio and control room.

The station’s new location will be at the Nevada County Digital Media Center, a location subleased from Grass Valley USA, LLC (formerly known as Grass Valley Group).

Today’s live telethon will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. at Grass Valley City Hall. The show, featuring musical guests Ivan Najera, Jamal Walker Band, and more, will broadcast live on Comcast Channel 11 and Suddenlink Channel 16, as well as streamed live at

Food vendors are Sweeney’s Weenies, Lazy Dog, Horn of the Bull, and BriarPatch.
