Taking it to the bank

Reference Bob Ingram’s letter of Oct. 10 entitled “Unfit for office.” Bob works for Sierra Pacific and they manage the largest acreage of any land owner in Nevada County. I have known Bob for years, and before him I knew his father and grandfather as the publishers of The Union. In other words, the Ingrams are very reputable people. Also, Bob’s sister is the mayor of Grass Valley.

Take it from me, Bob’s word can be “taken to the bank.”

I have also known Bruce Conklin since he came to Nevada County and I make it a practice to steer clear of him, as he walks a very liberal path and is supported by the same type of people. I was and still am a Drew Bedwell supporter and I always thought he was doing a great job for the county. Bedwell’s word can also be “taken to the bank.”

I can’t vote for John Spencer, but a visit to North San Juan will tell you that I support him, because his word, too, can be “taken to the bank.” You’ll also note that I support Captain “Nate” Beason, whom I am sure you can bank on.
